I didn’t post anything yesterday because my time was completely consumed by this… Check that – my whole week was consumed by this. In the beginning, the plan was to stitch it with waxed linen thread. This is how I usually do things around here because A) leather lace is pricey and B) The [...] I had to shuffle things around due to a last-minute addition of Shoot from the Hip/Hide & Cyc to this weekend’s Beehive Summer Craft Fair, so you’re getting a sneak peek at some new leather designs now instead of next week. This Friday night during Art Crawl and all day Saturday, I will be joining [...] In progress. A custom strap for one of Huron. This is going to be something – stained shades of caramel and fudge with a silver buckle and concho. I’m hoping to have all the colour done today so I can start on the stitching tomorrow. Also up this week – I may learn [...] A couple new shots of the strap I’m working on… I’m trying to stick to the queue of orders I have lined up, but I’m really itching to start on the latest – the western guitar strap. Its order-er wants the liner to be a shade of maroon I can only acheive by staining veg-tanned leather, so I get to line the whole thing with [...] As I hope to have one of these soon (a completed manuscript that is), I figured I should ready something snazzy to carry it around in. You know, for all the meetings I’ll be attending to discuss things like film options and whatnot. Anyway… Behold! - Allowed Memphis to sleep on the couch. He was sick! He’s still fragile!
