Amy Kenny is a Whitehorse-based writer.
Her journalism has been published by National Geographic Book Publishing, Hazlitt, Vice, Walrus, Up Here, Canadian Geographic, Explore, The Hamilton Spectator and Yukon News. In 2016, she was named journalist of the year at the Ontario Newspaper Awards.
She graduated from Ryerson University’s journalism program in 2004. In 2014 she completed the Humber School for Writers program in creative writing by correspondence, where she was mentored by David Adams Richards. In 2019, she graduated from the University of British Columbia with an MFA in creative writing.
