Turquoise was a theme this week… I love this. LOVE. It’s based on an old 60s leatherwork pattern, but made a bit bigger to accommodate credit cards and jazzed up with the kind of colours it was probably never meant to be. In the past, that’s [...] Tate recently asked if I could make a wallet out of an old baseball glove and I wondered, “why the heck not?” As luck would have it, I was going to Aberfoyle with Jane on Sunday anyway, so I kept my eyes open for vintage sporting goods. SCORE. I started with the catcher’s mitt [...] Short and sweet because it’s after hours here at the homestead and I’m breaking my no-netting post-dinner rule in order to set things right with the site (which I could not update for lack of camera cable today). Just a few more card wallets in various shades, closures and styles. [...] In a move too long in the making, I did another thinner version of the mini wallet I made Sean last year. I’m hoping to have the time to work on a few more of them this week or early next week so I can take a handful over to White Elelphant, if they’re into [...] I spent yesterday working on a custom order. A National Parks wallet. This shot was a little premature. By the end of the day, I had it stained and lined so all that’s left this afternoon is stitching. I’ve also got a group of Christmas orders on the slab for next week – some belts [...] Even though this has been a long time in the imagining, I hadn’t planned to make it last week when I did. However, once I started messing around, I couldn’t stop. Behold! The Gunslinger Purse! Carries keys, cash , id, chapstick… Thick bridle leather in a beautiful caramel colour. Hand-stitched with heavy cord. Slits on [...] I made this ages ago, but don’t think I ever posted a good image of it – the Pigott Building Wallet. Based on my Pigott Building painting.
