Though I spent much of my time yesterday dreaming of painting cuffs, I took the day off leather to work on something tastier – brownies. This is one of the many recipes I’ve tried out in my attempt to replicate the brownies at Mulberry Coffeehouse. Alas! I’m not overly psyched about it because it rules out about 89% of my staples – bread, dairy, [...] I’m on pins and needles waiting to find out about a hundred things! I wish I could just curl up in a cave, like a bear outsmarting winter, until all the news arrives. Instead, today I’m working on a little writing and a lot of fooding. It’s time for more groceries, more bread-baking, more cookie-making, [...] Not very image-heavy today I’m afraid. I’ve been working away at writing, which = boring on the blog at least until publication. A hundred new ideas have come into my head in the last couple days and I’m trying to find the time to turn them into pitches while simultaneously working on the writing I’ve [...] Here is some of what I did today… - Worked on a birthday/thank you cuff for Karin.
- Allowed Memphis to sleep on the couch. He was sick! He’s still fragile!
- Made falafals and a loaf of bread.
- Watched Sean silk screen some T-shirts. [...] In addition to leather goods, everyone got bread this year! A straight week of baking (and 40 cups of flour – this is some serious stuff) yielded these dense, delicious bundles. I can call this bread a work of art and not sound like a cocky douche because all I did was follow the recipe [...] |
