I’m trying to stick to the queue of orders I have lined up, but I’m really itching to start on the latest – the western guitar strap.
Its order-er wants the liner to be a shade of maroon I can only acheive by staining veg-tanned leather, so I get to line the whole thing with a beautiful Belgian hide. This is going to allow me to finish the edge smooth as glass (something I can’t do with regular liners because of the way they’re treated) and tool a hidden inscription inside the strap – a deatil I think it going to look awesome.
