Ideas Like Tulips. Blooming, Blooming, Blooming…

I’ve got a new idea. New ideas I guess. Something to do with leather and hair. Inspired in part by my friend Rachel, and in part by Daniel Day Lewis’ awesome ‘do in Last of the Mohicans (which played while I painted this afternoon).

So far they only exist in my head, and have yet to be sketched out  on paper much less cut into leather, but if you could see inside my mind…oh they’re so niiiiiiiiice.

Anyway, back to painting and Dances With Wolves (sense a theme? I’m also reading Through Black Spruce right now. I got tired of waiting for a copy to become available at the library. Fortunately, one place I never feel guilty about spending money is Bryan Prince Bookseller! ). I’ll have pictures tomorrow.

*** Whoa man how about Boring With Wolves? Maybe it’s just that he Cree is subtitled with Swedish so I’m losing half the meaning, but Kevin Costner…come on. I do not believe one thing you have said or done so far. That scene where you were walking? Didn’t buy it. The moustache on your face? Not biting on that one either. What was the critical reception to this movie when it was released? Outside of the Mom population where it was generally “wheeeeee his bum!” Did people view this as better or worse than Waterworld? Should I download the right subtitles and give it another go?

    hee, hee.
don’t even bother. there are cool parts to this movie, but none of them involve kevin coster. lame-o. he’s just way more of a pudgy suburban golfer-looking guy than some tough guy roughin’ it out on the plains! that calls for a real cowboy!
Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans, however. He-llo! love him and the guy who plays his brother. was one of my favourite movies for a LONG time.

Oh man I hear you! I’ve been on a DDL kick the last week. His filmography has provided the background sound to hours of stitching and painting.
